About Nuna Surf Lombok
How It All Started
Nuna Surf was founded in Bali in 2017, born from the journey of a young local surfer who spent years working and learning at various surf camps across Bali, including Kima Surf, Pro Surf, Windy, and others.
Through these experiences, he learned not only about surfing techniques, but also about safety, structure, and the importance of community within a surf camp. Noticing that most surf camps were owned by foreigners, a dream emerged, to create a locally owned surf camp built on Indonesian hospitality, accessible surf education, and strong community values.
At Nuna Surf, surfing is more than standing on a board.
It is about learning safely, respecting the ocean, and growing together. Our surf programs are designed to be clear, structured, and easy to follow, allowing students of all levels to progress with confidence while enjoying every session in the water.
We also believe that surfing should connect people to the place they visit. That’s why Nuna Surf integrates local culture, traditions, and everyday life into the experience, creating a deeper and more meaningful journey beyond the waves.
As part of our commitment to giving back, Nuna Surf dedicates 2.5% of its income to supporting talented local children who aspire to become professional surfers. Through training support, equipment access, and mentorship, we aim to help nurture the next generation of Indonesian surf athletes.

to bring surfers together from around the world, share stories, build genuine connections, and grow as a global surfing community. At Nuna Surf, you arrive as a guest, and leave as family.

That’s why 2.5% of Nuna Surf’s income is dedicated to supporting talented local children who dream of becoming professional surfers.
Our contribution helps provide: Access to surf training, Surf equipment support, Mentorship and long-term guidance. By supporting the next generation, we aim to build a stronger, more sustainable future for Indonesian surfing—rooted in opportunity, education, and community growth.

What Makes Nuna Surf Different
We limit our surf sessions to a maximum of 2 students per coach, ensuring focused attention, better feedback, and faster progression.
Our coaches are ISA-certified and deeply familiar with Lombok’s surf conditions. Local knowledge allows us to choose the right waves every day, based on level, tide, and conditions.
We don’t just take you surfing, we teach you how to surf better. From positioning and wave selection to technique refinement, every session has a clear goal.
No pressure, no ego. Nuna Surf is designed for surfers who want to learn, improve, and enjoy the process in a relaxed and respectful environment.
Rooted in Lombok
Being based in Kuta Lombok allows us to access a wide range of surf spots, from mellow beginner beaches to advanced reef breaks, all within a short distance. We work closely with the local community and operate with respect for Lombok’s culture, people, and environment.
Our goal is not to change Lombok, but to be part of it.

Absolutely. Most of our guests come alone and leave with a whole new surf family. Small groups, shared dinners, and daily surf sessions make it easy to connect — even if you’re shy.
Perfect. Our beginner program is designed to take you from zero to standing confidently on waves — safely, patiently, and at your own pace.
Don’t worry. On your first day, our coaches will check your skills and place you in the right group. You won’t be over- or under-challenged.
We keep it small: 1 coach for every 2 students. This means more waves, more feedback, and faster progress.
Not at all. We provide soft tops, hard boards, longboards, shortboards — everything. But if you have a board you love, feel free to bring it.
Super easy. Send us your flight details and we’ll pick you up at the airport with no hassle. The drive takes about 25–30 minutes.
Yes. We have strong WiFi, quiet corners, and AC rooms perfect for digital nomads who want to surf before (or after) work.
Yes — very safe. Kuta Lombok is peaceful, friendly, and popular for solo women surfers. Our camp staff is around 24/7 to help you with anything.
